Club officer nominations now open

(this was announced via email today)

The School of Bass Fishing Club board of directors met Monday and are pleased to announce the start of nominations for our first-ever elected club officers that will be voted into office during the September club meeting. The officer positions are:
President -- manages and directs the club meetings and activities.
VP Membership -- responsible for club recruitment activities.
VP Tournament Direction -- in charge of the club tournaments.
Secretary/Treasurer -- handles the club's money, liability insurance, membership list, club expense ledger, etc.

You can submit your nominations for these officer positions via email to Chris Bajorek or by replying to this forum thread. Nominations will be possible right up to the vote at the September club meeting. Chris Bajorek will not be accepting any nominations as he will be busy maintaining the School of Bass website.

With so many new ideas and programs in the queue, now is a great time to vote in new leadership and get the ball rolling again for our club.

I would like to nominate David Roper for the VP Tournament Direction position. I am quite confident that David would do an awesome job for the club and would keep things interesting and fun.

Assuming he will accept the nomination, I nominate Phil Clark for President. I cannot think of anyone more qualified to act as such.

I would like to nominate Denny Welch for President. I also accept the nomination for VP of Tournament Director.

This is a reminder that next Wednesday Sept 8 is a very important meeting to attend. We will be having our first-ever officer elections.

If you already are, or if you want to be an active part of this club, I urge you to nominate club members now either via email to me (from the Contacts section of our website) or preferably by posting here.
